Basically automobile industry meant industry of motor vehicles like
Four wheeler ,three wheeler or commercial vehicles etc
India is in top 6 countries list of automobile manufacturing industry
    statatics top 6 producers
    1st.China
    2nd United States
    3rdJapan
    4thGermany
    5th India
    6th Mexico
India is produced cars and commercial vehicles according to 2019 4.51 million of vehicles
In year 2021, of total production of vehicles in India was around 22.7 million units
    India has 5th position
But automobile India has to see huge loss during 2019 -2021
In March -april 2021 automobile industry take the declining in %
Almost 53%to55% declining in March-april 2021 beacause of some reasons

India has many vehicles manufacturing companies like:-
    1 Maruti Suzuki
    2 Hyundai India
    3 Mahindra
    4 Tata Motors
    5 Honda cars
    6 Toyota
    7 Renault
    8 Ford India
    9 Nissan
    10 Volkswagen
Automobile industry is help to increase economic growth but now it’s give negative impact on economy
Reasons of this level of declining are:-
It’s on my point of view
    Reason
    1. Bad quality of body compare btw then or now
    2. Jumping in pricing on it
3.many families is below the level of poverty line because of pandemic covid-19
    4. Many people loss there job bcz of lockdown
    6. Fuel cost is very big problem of this because high price rate of petrol diesel oil or cng price almost touch the rate of 100rs in up so it is the primary factor for force to thinking people for buying any vehicle
So poor and some middle class people also they can’t afford it
Government and automobile industry should to fix there problems

As we see, the Automobile industry boosts the economic growth of our country. Indian auto industry accounts for about 3.6 % of the country’s GDP and is the world’s 6th largest producer of automobiles.
But future of the automobile industry seems to have some challenges, which are as follows-

    # Due to COVID 19 lockdown, the automobile industry faces a lot of degressions in customers which is due to hold back of automobiles production for some time.

#Lack of resources due to the reliance on other countries for them. E.g. China is the biggest importer of auto components to India.

#Increament in prices of vehicles due to the increased expenses of importation of auto components from other countries.

    # Increasing demand for electric vehicles faces some problems as fuel economy, gas emissions, affordability, and security.

Now, recently there is news that Ford Motor Company is about to shut Chennai, sanand plants in India which means that the challenges have badly affected the automobile industries. It can be concluded that Automobile industries need to overcome the problems and challenges and must think about the speedy adoption of new technologies.

    Society of Indian automobile

As the name suggests automobile is made if of two words’auto’ means self and ‘mobile’ means movable. So automobile means self movable vehicles without man and animal force which run on roads, tracks, water or airways
Automobile industry is an industry these vehicles automobile are produced
In India, automobile were first imported in 1920 for royal families. And by 1942 , first car manufacturing started by B.M Birla. And with the passage of time industry became the largest industry in Indian market
Unfortunately, India witnessed sharpest decline nearly in 19 years in July 2019 dropping of 18.71% of sales rendering to almost 15000 workers jobless over past quarter and This can be shown in the data released by society of Indian automobile manufacturers. The previous biggest declined was recorded in December 2000 when it fell 21.81%
REASON BEHIND THE SLOW DOWN CAN BE
      1) Reduced economic growth
      2) Global slow down
      3) Disturbed ecosystem of automobile mainl due to demonetisation and GST
      4) Supreme court made long term third party insurance mandatory thus car became expensive
      5) Rapid rising share cars like ola, uber, etc.
But now electronical vehicles (EV) seems to be the key not only for the growth of automobile but also to decarbonising it.
As the survey point out that younger consumer, particularly female willingly to invest in EV.
EV can be seen as the future as it is said that by 2050 every second vehicle produced globally would be electrically powered.
      INDIA AND E- VEHICLE
      1) EV managed to post a decent 20% in financial year 2020
      2) GST council reduce the rate from 12 to 5% for vehicles and 18 to 5% for vehicle chargers.
      3) EV are environment friendly
      4) Step by State Government for example Kerala advised all its department to purchase e – vehicles for next financial year.
      WAY AHEAD
      1) Bank provide innovative credit scheme
      2) Further policy should be framed by government to push automobile
      3) Focus on augmentation of charging station for EV
      4) Domestic industry should manufacture EV parts and not dependent on imports
      CONCLUSION
EV are automobile and also help in decarbonization of environment

Automobile industries consists of a wide range of companies and organizations involved in the design, development, manufacturing, marketing and selling of motor vehicles. As we see a sharpest decline in automobile sales 19 years in july, 2019, which results as around 15000 workers become jobless.
In the present scenario, we can’t see a bright future of automobiles in India because their sales witnessed decline according to data of Society of Indian Automobiles Manufacturers. There are many reasons for this, some are-
    * COVID-19- It is a major cause because due to corona economic condition of many people become weak and even some become jobless.
    * Shared Cars- It is also a reason because peoples started getting attracted to shared cars like of ola and uber, etc. They found these more convenient than their own cars as they get rid of maintenance charges of their own cars.
    * Cost hikes- The Supreme Court has made long term third party insurance compulsory which make cars costly for common peoples.
    * Electric vehicles- As peoples are focussing on electric vehicles, automobile’s use become less like where automobiles face crisis ola’s electric scooter got sell of above Rs.1,100 crore in just two days. This shows public interest in electric vehicles.
This has a negative impact on India because companies like Ford ( an American company) leave India due to this. This made many workers jobless. The future of engineering field, manufacturing field is also in danger. So, government should give some tax relief to Automobiles as far as concerned to attract companies which are willing to leave India.
Also we can say that there is a global slowdown, everywhere peoples are facing some economic crisis, India is also facing crisis like them. This is a temporary decline in sales, which will increase when people start working as they were doing before the pandemic.
And also a festive season will provide a much needed trigger.

  6. PRACHI CHAUDHARY

In the Indian context, the automobile sector is probably the only sector which has performed upto it’s potential. Companies like Maruti, Tata etc have proved their mettle all over the world and brought laurel to our country.

However, of late, the sector is grappling with some issues and it would be best to address them at the earliest:

    1. Some recent tests have shown that even the new cars being manufactured by renowned companies don’t score high on safety parameters. They have not been found very safe even when test driven at low speeds. This issue needs to be addressed at the earliest because human safety is of utmost importance.

    2. The other issue is that of polluting standards. Given the way automobiles cause pollution, it is imperative upon them to switch over to Bharat VI norms at the earliest.

3..incentives should be extended to automobile sectors for manufacturing electric cars and vehicles which are less polluting. CNG fuels should be promoted.

4.At the same time, automobiles running on diesel should be gradually phased out.

    5. With automatic cars slowly coming into vogue, extreme care should be taken to ensure that they don’t compromise upon the security issue.

    6. Air bags and censors must be made mandatory for all the cars. It will increase the cost but then a penny lost is better than a life wasted.

Thus, the automobile sector needs strict regulation to address the issues of safety and pollution. Only by doing this we can ensure that the Indian automobile sector remains a force to reckon with.

  7. Vasu

Automobile industries are basically depends upon the status of the people . In india there are middle class and upper middle class people are more in quantity and in India buying a car is first desire almost all of the person .
we can say that future of Automobile industries are bright but only those which are pocket friendly.

  8. Anuj Singh Yadav

India auto sector is the most important sector in the perspective of growth, employment and revenue.
According to a data in india nearly 82% people have two wheelers.

Now india economy booming and people moving towards 4 wheeler
Because increase in income, changing taste and preferences.
Automobile industry is support many small , regional indust and provide employment to both skilled and non skilled workers.
Automobile industry is new investment point for FDI in india.

But automobile industry facing so many challenges in india
Automobile industry largely depends on china for import of sphere parts but due to trumoil situation in india and china relationship cost increases.
Govt recently imposed so many conditions like related to environment, safety and use of biodiesel, etc increase the coast of production for these industries in india.
Fall in purchasing power of people of india due to slowdown in economy for long term.

Now government need to provide incentive to these industries for increasing their growth, maintain their safety standard and profit .
Provide them tax benefits in use of green technology

  9. Srishty Tyagi

India is expected to emerge as the world’s third largest automobile market. Hitting that mark will depend on today’s rapid economic development continuing, with a projected annual GDP growth rate of 7%.
Currently, the automotive sector contributes more than 7% to India’s GDP . “The Automative Mission Plan 2016-26 ” sets an aspiration to increase the contribution to 12% .
Through these plans like the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan etc. ,the govt. seeks to achieve two objectives —
facilitate long term growth in the industry and reduce emissions and oil dependence.

The World Economic Forum ranks India 30th on the global manufacturing index, which assesses the manufacturing capabilities of more than 100 country. The govt’s “Make in India” and “Atamnirbhar Bharat” initiatives have played an important role in elevating country’s position.
However, the automobile sector is facing some issues also which needs to be addressed asap. Like, the issue of polluting standards ,automobile sector is not provided with adequate incentives etc.
Thus, the automobile sector needs some strict rules and regulations for smooth flourishment of this sector . Therefore, if the nation wants to be a 5 trillion economy , it cannot happen without the auto industry making a major contribution. No doubt, India is a hub for automobiles , thus the future of automobiles in India is very bright.
